- a few insights into my poetic journey so far -

I've been writing poetry for as long as I can remember. I probably started when I was 15. Who knows?! The coolest thing was that I managed to convince my university professor to write the end of my bachelor thesis as a poem. That was fun. Another great moment was when I made my first poetry short film, which was shown at the Illuminate Film Festival 2018 opening gala night. Oh my God - I was so excited. Big audience, everyone is watching the film. I felt like Tarzan. And then one day I was commissioned to create 3 poetry short film scripts for BIO Austria. Meaningful and paid - how great! And of course - I've written poetry for birthday parties, weddings, love letters, Mother's Day and all the usual things, to say something nice to the people I love. Ah, I forgot - yes - I took part in some poetry slams. Remember: you have 5 minutes to perform your poems on stage and the audience decides who was the best poet of the evening. It's fun too, but way too competitive in my view. I believe in co-creation than in the usual winner-loser game. Now you know some of the highlights of my poetic "career", but most of the time I just sit in my room with candlelight, tea, my fragrance lamp and I write. I love it so much that I cannot not do it. It just fills me with deep joy. Sometimes I don't "receive" a poem for months and then I just have to wait and learn to be silent. I am drawn to silence more and more. But poetry is my way of expressing creativity. That's why I decided to create this website and share it with you. Just because I can. YAY.

A musician must make music, an artist must paint, a poet must write, if he is to be ultimately at peace with himself.
